This Burlington home originally featured a cramped kitchen and narrow family room. The renovation featured removing the wall separating these two spaces and making a much larger and more functional great room perfect for family gatherings. The space is complete with a large island, built in shelving and a new fireplace, wall ovens, a custom cabinetry-style hood and a custom window seat for an inviting breakfast nook.
The kitchen features painted MDF cabinetry with wood accents in the built-in shelves featured in the corner of the kitchen and either side of the fireplace. The counter tops are Caesarstone “Bianco Drift” that wraps up onto the backsplash for a seamless appearance.
This space focused on the impact of small details, including posts on the corners of the island, a shiplap back behind the built-in shelves, and corbels below the custom hood.
